THE WCHR EMERGING PRO FINALS CLASS
The Emerging Pro Finals will be held at Capital Challenge. The top ten riders in the Emerging Pro national standings will be invited to compete. In addition, the top six Emerging Pro riders from each of the WCHR Regions will receive invitations. The desired number of entries in the class will be 30. If necessary, additional spots will be filled by those Emerging Pros who are not already qualified based on their highest scoring round in any Professional hunter section at Capital Challenge.
Riders can compete on one horse. Riders may ride any horse in the Finals; the horse need not be entered in any other classes at Capital Challenge. The course will consist of two rounds over an open hunting type course with 10-12 fences set at 3"3" with a minimum of one in and out and at least three oxers. Eight riders will be called back for a second round handy hunter course. The class will be judged numerically by three teams of two judges. Each team will present one score and the scores will be averaged for a single round total. The entry with the highest average score will be the class winner. A tie-breaking judge will be determined before the class. In case of a tie, the score of the tie-breaking team of judges will determine the winner.
